I bought this for my daughter’s 4th bday party. The children played on it 5 hours! It held up great. The pool area was great for the toddlers at the party. My only problem was water got inside it, which is normal since there are small holes in the seams of the float. (note: the small holes are supposed to be there to let air come out of the float.) So it was hard to get the water out and dry it out. After 2 days, we crossed our fingers hoping we dried it well enough, and stored it away.
UPDATE: July 2008 We pulled the slide out again this year. Minimal “molding” from putting the slide away slightly damp. Scrubbed it with soap and water and set it up. The sun cleaned it right up and the kids played another solid 5 hours on it. We didn’t turn the water on as high this year and that helped keep so much water from getting inside the slide. Dried it out for 4 days in our garage. It was completely dry and folded up nicely. I am happy to be getting my monies worth from this slide. The price I paid for it was the same price to rent a slide for one afternoon. Now I’ve used it 2 years… going for a 3rd next year!
My son got this for his 4th birthday. I got him the Banzai falls Splash Lagoon and his great grandmother got him this. (mixed communication) Anyway, I didn’t want to keep this since we opened the other one and had a blast with it, but we were surprised by great grandma and had to set it up. Such a bad idea!
First of all the little pool type thing, is not a pool! It barely covers up your feet and takes up more room and water. The climbing wall is not that great. My 40 pound son kept falling off because the wall was so unsturdy. then when he came down the slide he hit the wall hard! He almost flew over the side. There’s no room for a landing at all.
The Splash Lagoon is much cheaper and works so much better. This just doesn’t cut it!
We purchased this slide last summer for our 4 children. None of them weigh over 50 lbs. After a few days of use it started getting water inside but still inflated okay. They enjoyed a full summer of fun last year. Unfortunately this summer we were only able to play on it a few times. The inner liner deteriorated and the outside liner began to rip at the seams. We contacted Little Tikes who told us what patch to buy and so we patched it in several places. It worked for one day then the slide did not blow up fully anymore. The kids hit the ground when they tried to slide so we had to throw it away. It was a waste of almost $400. Needless to say we were all quite disappointed. Also, just to let you know, the slide was always properly taken care of and stored properly. I hope this helps someone! Definitely save your money, there are better slides out there!
